Yesterday we received an email from a Spanish client stating that the pressure of the vacuum seal tester purchased from our company in 2019 cannot reach -80KPA. Through the video provided by the customer, it was learned that the sealed bucket was damaged, and there may have been air leakage causing the pressure to not meet expectations.

Principle of vacuum sealing test: Place the tested product in a vacuum chamber and then evacuate it. If there is a leak in the tested product, the leaked gas will enter the vacuum chamber through the leakage channel, causing an increase in pressure inside the vacuum chamber. The sealing tester can determine whether the tested product has leaks by detecting pressure changes inside the vacuum chamber.
During the use of the sealing tester, operators may encounter situations where the pressure cannot be increased. The editor provides an answer to this situation, hoping to help everyone solve the problem.
Generally speaking, there are two reasons for this:
1. Caused by insufficient gas source pressure, the specific treatment is as follows:
The gas source is not turned on or the pipeline connection is incorrect. The sealing tester is powered by an air compressor or industrial air source, and the air source pressure is generally 0.7 MPa.
If vacuuming is not possible, first check if the external air source is turned on and observe if the external air source pressure meets the requirements. If the pressure is too low, the efficiency and effectiveness of vacuuming cannot meet the testing requirements.
When connecting the pipeline, connect the gas source pipeline to the interface marked with "gas source", and connect the pipeline of the sealed barrel to the interface marked with "vacuum". If the gas source is connected to a vacuum, it will directly damage the negative pressure gauge.
2. Caused by air leakage from the sealed barrel, the specific treatment is as follows:
Replace the sealing ring or replace the sealing barrel.
The inability of the sealing tester to evacuate is the core issue, which directly determines whether the test can proceed normally. Therefore, operators need to undergo a series of training before operating the sealing tester.
